Pianist Erwout PIERREUX graduated in 2001 from the Jazz department of the "Lemmens Conservatory" in Leuven (Belgium), where Ron VAN ROSSUM was his teacher.

During his education, he attended workshops with Brad MEHLDAU, Bobo STENSON, Kenny WERNER and Bruce BARTH.

He also had lessons from Christoph ERBSTÖSSER, Rob MADNA and Mike LEDONNE.

During the summer of 2001, he was a member of the workshop-orchestra conducted by Maria SSCHNEIDER, which performed at the Middelheim Jazzfestival.

At the moment, he is teaching at several music schools and the "JazzStudio" in Antwerp.

Ewout is a sideman in different ensembles and has played concerts with the "Brussels Jazz Orchestra" and Frank VAGANÉE.

He is a.o. a member of the quartet JAZZISFACTION and RENAUD 5, the band of drummer Renaud PERSON.
