Born in Poland, she sang at a very early age and studied classical piano. She moved to Belgium and obtained a First Prize at the Brussels Conservatory.
But jazz singing soon became her main passion. Impressed by the great jazz singers, Ella FITZGERALD, Billie HOLLIDAY, etc..., she also was influenced by instrumentalists such as Miles DAVIS, Chet BAKER. She studied vocals a.o. with U.S. singer Judy NIEMACK at the Brussels Conservatory.
Marta MUS had the opportunity to work with some well known musicians of the Belgian scene : Bas COOYMANS (b), Sal LA ROCCA (b), Kris DUERINCKX (drs), Bruno CASTELLUCCI (drs), Ron VAN ROSSUM (p), Paolo LOVERI (gt), Erik VERMEULEN (p), Lindsey HORNER (b), and many others. She also collaborated with classical pianist/composer/arranger Daniel CAPELLETTI.

Marta MUS sings with a warm and sensual voice. She shows a natural feeling for swing, a convincing sense of improvisation and a fascinating presence on stage.
