Peer BAIERLEIN

Peer BAIERLEIN (born 1972) began studying classical music at the "Musikhochschule" in Cologne with Malte BURBA when he was sixteen years old.
After receiving his diploma in classical music, he switched to jazz and studied with Bert JORIS at the "Swiss Jazz School" in Bern (Switzerland) and the "Lemmens Conservatory" in Leuven (Belgium).

He also took lessons from Claus ST&Oumnl;TTER, Ack VAN ROOYEN and John McNEIL, with whom he studied when he lived in New York for one year in 2001.

He also was a member of the "Maria Schneider Workshop Orchestra" during the Jazzfestival in Middelheim in 2001.

Peer has played in the "Brussels Jazz Orchestra" several times and has performed with many of Belgium«s best jazzmusicians.

He presents himsel with his quartet JAZZISFACTION.
