A quarterly publication is published, containing biographies, discography, announcements
and general information.
The members are gathering on the 1st Tuesday of the month at the LE BELLE-VUE
ave Brugmann 525, 1180 Brussels from 19:30h to 22:30h.
The association is interested in the acquisition of old records, single or by batch.
Robert PERNET was also known as historian of Belgian jazz.

On these occasions, exchanges, sales and purchases are taking place as well as listening
to records and watching musicals... and lots of discussions are going on.

Robert PERNET was the President until he died on Feb. 27, 2001.
Born in Brussels in 1940 and a professional drummer in the '60 and '70. Among others he played with
Philip CATHERINE, Toots THIELEMANS,
SADI, Lou BENNETT, Bobby Jaspar,
Jacques PELZER, René THOMAS, Babs ROBERT.
In 1966 he published a book JAZZ IN LITTLE BELGIUM of which a new edition is in the works. As a part of it, an updated Belgian Jazz Discography was released in 99.
He also participated in 1991 in the DICTIONNAIRE DU JAZZ A BRUXELLES ET EN WALLONIE. See our Jazz Books page.
A passionate collector, he used to collect everything which is related, closely or remotely, to jazz.
Robert was in possession of Bobby JASPAR's chemical engineer diploma and a passport of Bud POWELL,
