Belgian guitarist GILBERT ISBIN's early influences, from blues to contemporary jazz, classical, ethnic and freeform music, has ultimately contributed to his now distinctive and refined style. His music is filled with strong melodies, rich colourful harmonies, sound effects and polyrhythms, highlighted by delicate acoustic guitar picking.

Isbin has recorded ten albums, which have been highly acclaimed by the international music press (Guitar Player, Option, Cadence, Coda, Jazz Hot,…).
He has collaborated in concert and/or recorded with American and European players, such as Cameron Brown, Ernst Reijseger, Michel Godard, Jaap Blonk, Fred Van Hove, John Ruocco, Rudy de Sutter, Sandor Szabo, Chris Joris, Philippe Deschepper, Geert Verbeke.

He has written music for documentary films, and has published his original guitar music.
He performs solo or in duo/trio settings. His performances within the live environment, establishing a communication between both artist and audience, is an essential ingredient in the realization of his creative ideas.

INTRODUCTION
On this site you will find compositions and arrangements in standard notation only, sorry, writing in tabs would take too much time.
As you will notice my approach to music is a compositional/improvisational one.
Apart from the scores there is a section which deals with solo guitar improvisation on the harmonic changes of the presented tunes.
