On ne sait toujours pas, après trois ans de jeu, de concerts et de développement assidu de leur duo, qui est Bed et qui est Breakfast… Ce que l’on sait, c’est que Pierre Bernard et Véronique Bizet ont chacun un parcours intéressant et personnel dans les mondes de la musique improvisée, du jazz et de la musique classique contemporaine. C’est cette culture musicale commune, conjuguée à un esprit d’exploration et à un goût du risque, qui a favorisé leurs affinités musicales. (Le son de Pierre Bernard nous est actuellement familier dans " Rêve d’Elephant Orchestra ", et dans les projets de Kris Defoort notamment.) Leur duo emmènent les auditeurs dans un voyage musical plein de surprises, où l’improvisation se mêle à des compositions personnelles, ainsi qu’à des compositions de musiciens de jazz contemprorains tels que Charlie Haden… Ils ont en 2004 un projet d’enregistrement. |
We still don’t know, after three years of playing concerts and of constant development of their duo, who is Bed and who is Breakfast… What we do know, is that Pierre Bernard and Véronique Bizet have a personal and interesting experience in the worlds of improvised music, jazz and contemporary classical music. This common musical culture, combined to an attitude of constant exploration and to a love for risk, explains their musical affinities. (The sound of Pierre Bernard is familiar to us in the " Rêve d’Elephant Orchestra ", and in the projects of Kris Defoort.)
