1. BIHOGO

 Chris JORIS is without doubt the best percussionist in Belgium (his reputation goes far beyond local) He delivers to us a "world jazz" mainly focused on Africa. There is a constant use of a myriad of traditional African, Indian, or Brazilian instruments, mostly percussions, but Chris Joris also plays the piano in a unique percussive style.

CD : "Bihogo" (recorded in 93) (LYRAE 9506002) with Cameron BROWN, Pierre VAIANA, Annie WHITEHEAD, Dieudonné Bashila KABONGO, Didier LABARRE, Frédéric MALEMPRE and Michel SEBA.

2. Chris JORIS EXPERIENCE

This new band made very successful appearances at the Jazz Middelheim Festival '97 (Antwerp), the Brussels Jazz Marathon '98, etc.
Live recordings of this band, made at Jazz Middelheim and in Stockholm, are available on the CD Live (WERF 012).
