    SCANDAL!
BELGIAN DJANGO D'OR 2004 AWARDS CEREMONY IS OFF !

The 10th anniversary happening, was to be held on December 02 at the Forum in Liege, will not take place.
One of the sponsoring/financing parties has decided, at this late phase, to pull out rendering the realization impossible.

Since few months now a team of top jazzmen (including Django d'Or winners) has been detained for the event, special music was written and other persons and technicians have invested considerable resources in preparations.
This last minute cancellation is a great prejudice to all involved and is a flagrant disregard that elsewhere would have raised energetic critics and protests of the press and associations.
Such behavior is unacceptable and not to be tolerated.
Also the precarious health condition of Frank HAGEGE, the father and initiator of the Django idea, certainly has been a factor.

All parties involved are bitterly disappointed.
