The presentation will be followed by concert, "The Accoustics" with Frank VAGANEE, alto sax; Kurt VAN HERCK, tenor sax; Jos MACHTEL, double bass and Martijn VINK, drums. 02/532 38 90 fax: 02/452 34 94). | NEW YORK JAZZ WALKS RESUMING A series of jazz-focused guided walking tours through selected New York neighborhoods will continue through the autumn of 2003. Operating under the SwingStreets banner, jazz journalist Paul Blair began leading groups on excursions through three different sections of Harlem in mid-2002. Each route covers a multitude of sites associated with both the area's rich jazz history and its current music scene. Also seen are the homes, offices and studios of other notables, famous churches, landmarks associated with the civil rights struggle and blocks exemplifying particularly distinguished architecture. In addition to three Harlem walks, Blair has since expanded his menu to include three other Manhattan excursions: one through the midtown entertainment district, another in Greenwich Village and a third in the rapidly evolving East Village.
Regular SwingStreets outings take place on Saturdays and Sundays, although group tours and custom itineraries are
so possible. Details on individual routes, along with a schedule of upcoming walks, is posted on the Internet at
www.SwingStreets.com. The site also contains links to dozens of New York jazz clubs plus an abundance of other
information useful for visitors to the city. |

| WEATHER REPORT OR THE
UNEXPECTED MEETING OF FABRICE ALLEMAN AND STEVE HOUBEN A cancellation by Paolo LOVERI has obliged Fabrice ALLEMAN to think up an alternative in order to maintain a scheduled concert, this Friday April 4, at the Fabrique de Théâtre in Frameries. Calling on Steve HOUBEN the two horn blowers, accompanied by Bas COOYMANS (b) and Lieven VENKEN (drs), played a series of standards around the "meteorological" theme presenting an outstanding performance. Just the fact that Fabrice and Steve played a good concert is nothing surprising. However, the event was far more than just a good gig. A nice complicity, being at ease with each other, imaginative interpretation of pieces such a"Over the rainbow", "fair weather", "you are my sunshine", "sunny"’..., a biorhythm in full synchronism, who really knows why, have contributed towards a magical session and an enchanted public.
