    IVAN PADUART, 3 ALBUMS IN THE PIPELINE
    Pianist Ivan PADUART, one of the more prolific musician on the Belgian jazz scene, is currently working on a recording with guitarist Patrick DELTENRE, in 4tet with Philippe AERTS (b) and Mimi VERDERAME (drs). Album release in spring 2004.
    Ivan also brought back together his old team from "Illusions Sensorielles" (1993) & "Folies Douces" (1995) (Richard GALLIANO, Bruno CASTELLUCCI, Philippe AERTS) with a string section from the Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles for another recording to be made in winter/spring 2004.
    And last but not least, Ivan also did a trio album.

  • Electric bassist Daniel ROMEO has recorded a new studio album. Daniel worked with his usual team of musicians -who are very efficient funk and soul music performers, such as a.o. Yves BAIBAY (drs), Olivier BODSON (tp), Bert GIELEN (kb, org.), Laurent DOUMONT, Hervé LETOR (sax), Dominique NTOUMOS (tp), Xavier TRIBOLET (p) etc...- but he also invited several jazz musicians as guests, a.o. : Flavio BOLTRO (tp), Eric LEGNINI (p), Rosario GIULIANI (sax), Gilles NATUREL (b), US guitar star Mike STERN etc...String quartet arrangements were written by Michel HERR.
    Date of release and record label are still unknown.

    VIOLINIST ALEXANDRE CAVALIÈRE HAS RECORDED A NEW ALBUM
    Young violinist Alexandre CAVALIÈRE has recently recorded a new cd, for which pianist Benoît SOURISSE acted as a musical director.

    ALTO SAXOPHONIST BRUNO VANSINA RECORDS A LIVE TRIO ALBUM
    Alto saxophonist Bruno VANSINA has recorded end 2003 several of his appearances at the Antwerp pub "Buster" in the prospect of releasing a live trio album with a.o. Teun VERBRUGGEN on drums.

    SAXOPHONIST ERWIN VAN AND GUITARIST PETER HERTMANS HAVE RECORDED IN THE US
    Saxophonist Erwin VANN and guitarist Peter HERTMANS have recorded an album in the US with Nicolas THYS on bass and Billy HART on drums.

    DUO CD OF FABRICE ALLEMAN ON CLARINET WITH BASSIST JEAN WARLAND SOON ON MOGNO
    Fabrice ALLEMAN has recorded a duo album for Mogno Music, on which he mostly plays the clarinet, with Jean WARLAND who wrote the arrangements of a selection of jazz classics (also as guests : Phil ABRAHAM, tb, and Frédéric JACQUEMIN, drs).

    SWING DEALERS RECORDED A LIVE ALBUM WITH GUESTS
    The band THE SWINGDEALERS has recorded live at the Brussels club "The Music Village", with guests.

    SAXOPHONIST FRÉDÉC DELPLANCQ RECORDS QUARTET ALBUM
    Alto saxophonist FRÉDÉC recorded in January 2004 a quartet album with pianist Jef NEVE, bassist Guus BAKKER and drummer Kris DUERINCKX.

    MAY 2004 : A DOUBLE PIANO SOLO CD WITH FRED WILBAUX AND CHARLES LOOS
    The Carbon 7 label is preparing the release for May 2004 of a double cd box featuring the piano solo work of Fred WILBAUX and Charles LOOS.
    THE JOJOBA TRIO HAS RECORDED A NEW ALBUM
    Trio JOJOBA with as guest Steve HOUBEN just recorded a new album "JOJOBA" featuring compositions by pianist Jean-Luc PAPPI and bass player Eric FUSILLIER.
    Release expected during March 2004. The trio is composed of Jean-Luc PAPPI: piano; Eric FUSILLIER: bass and Teun VERBRUGGEN: drums.

    MOGNO MUSIC ANNOUNCES FUTURE RELEASES
    The MOGNO label, on its updated web site, informs its visitors of future releases : Ménage Artois (Paul FLUSH, Charles LOOS, Luc VANDEN BOSCH), Victor DA COSTA trio, TRACES (Philippe LALOY, Vincent NOIRET), Asad QUIZILBACH (Sarod player from Pakistan).
    Add to that list the upcoming duo album of Fabrice ALLEMAN (reeds) and Jean WARLAND (bass).
